Lead/Senior Software Engineer

TurnHere is looking for a strong lead/senior software engineer with a solid background in Enterprise software development, a good sense of product design, and solid development habits (e.g., unit testing, technical design documentation, end-user documentation, etc.). You will create and implement technology solutions which are astounding in their technical elegance and innovation, but also remain grounded in solving real business problems and driving revenues and customer acquisition.

You will own the delivery of applications from start to finish; from idea inception to smooth production execution and everything in between. On a day-to-day basis, you will operate as an individual developer and as the leader of a team coordinating and shaping the work of other team members. You will help drive application and data design, provide reviews, and refactor as needed. You must be comfortable working with minimal direction for extended periods, and at other times with almost daily interaction with management. You should be used to directing yourself and leading a small team of engineers and providing frequent updates regarding the work on your plate.

You will work directly with product management and other business owners to understand what we need to build in a fast-paced environment. You will be presenting your work to other engineers, to peers in other groups, and to management. You must be comfortable with exploring new technologies and languages - our environment is currently primarily PHP – but you should be able to jump into other new technologies and scripting.

Required Qualifications:

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in building scalable web applications for large consumer bases.
• Prior team leadership and mentoring experience.
• Ability to define and document project requirements and time table to accomplish the tasks.
• Developing software architecture blue print and a road map to develop features for the site.
• Extensive experience with PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, and Web 2.0 technologies.
• Experience working in the L/WAMP environments.
• Independent, cooperative, self-motivated and a quick-learner.
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science.
• Good knowledge of object oriented design and design patterns.
• Knowledge of SQL and relational database structures.
• Familiarity with web services (SOA, REST, SOAP, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Facebook API experience.
• Active contribution to open source projects.
• Experience with billing and accounting systems.
• Please be prepared for writing code during the interview.

Creative Genius UI Web Developer (LAMP)

We are looking for an innovative and creative front-end LAMP stack developer who not only is a proven star in building state of the art web interfaces and architectures, but also is comfortable working with object oriented back-end interfaces. The right person will have a passion for creating effective and usable interfaces, and will have a strong customer oriented rationale for their designs. The right candidate knows how to work with the business/product during requirements definition in order to envision innovative approaches and solutions to meet the requirements. A real interest in the online video space is a big plus!

Essential Responsibilities

• Implement new products and features that enhance TurnHere's customer and partner experience
• Drive front-end approaches/solutions that will WOW the customer, scale effectively, and provide re-use as appropriate
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle
• Able to work independently, both on new and legacy software systems
• Implement rapid prototypes of new product ideas for scoping, as well as for design presentation
• Strong problem solver, able to work effectively with the team to solve system issues

Minimum Job Qualifications

• 5+ years experience of PHP and other web application development.  PHP expertise is essential.
• Strong knowledge of CSS/HTML, cross-browser development, and JavaScript/AJAX
• Experience developing web applications in a Unix/Linux-based environment
• Good knowledge of object oriented design and design patterns
• Direct experience developing large scale, web-based applications
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Bonus Qualifications!

• Experience with PHP framework technologies:  Zend, Smarty and Doctrine (O/R M), Drupal, etc.

Director, Business Development

TurnHere is looking for a Director of Business Development. The ideal candidate has a proven ability to be a highly strategic thinker; is self motivated, and has had success at sourcing and negotiating a range of different partnerships and third party reseller relationships. A strong rolodex that would strongly benefit from TurnHere's platform and suite of video, montage and photography solutions is preferred but not required.

Success will be measured by revenue and earnings growth that is directly attributable to the Director of Business Development's efforts to pursue and close profitable deals. This is a high profile role with broad exposure to and interaction with senior management. Some travel is required.

As a member of our core team you will expect to receive competitive compensation in the form of a base salary + bonus. Our success is a direct result of your efforts and we recognize and support excellence.

Primary Responsibilities

In addition to the duties listed above the position will be responsible for:

• Identifying target markets and reseller partners.
• Prospecting, qualifying, negotiating and closing deals in aggressive time-frames.

TurnHere is looking for independent sales representatives in the San Francisco Bay Area. We are looking for highly motivated individuals that are self-starters with relevant sales experience to sell our photo and video solutions to small and medium sized local businesses. Each seller will "own" his or her own local sales territory. The idea candidate is currently selling other products or services to local businesses today. This is a 100% commission based opportunity with unlimited upside.
